Create authentication tokens

Create an authentication token in the Aiven Console for use with the Aiven CLI or API. To learn more about using authentication tokens, refer to Authentication tokens.

To create an authentication token on the Aiven Console:

  1. Click the User information icon in the top right and select Tokens.

  2. Click Generate token.

  3. Enter a description and set an expiration time in the Max. age field. Leave Max. age empty if you don't want the token to expire.

  4. Click Generate token.

  5. Click the Copy icon and save your token somewhere safe.

    important

    You cannot view the token after you close this window.

  6. Click Close.

You can also create an authentication token using the Aiven CLI.
